Miguel is an accomplished Arts and Culture Executive with two decades of experience leading large-scale cultural initiatives globally, with a focus on the GCC. Recognized for shaping landmark projects that have engaged millions, he has forged collaborations with leading artists and institutions worldwide.
Currently an Advisor at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, he plays a key role in the Riyadh Art and Riyadh Life initiatives, focusing on Public Art.
From 2019 to 2022, Miguel was the founding Executive Director of Noor Riyadh, transforming it from concept into the world’s largest light art festival. Under his leadership, the festival secured over 30 international awards, including 16 Guinness World Records. Prior to this, he served as Chief Operating Officer at MiSK Art Institute, advancing professional development in the arts through support, expertise, and education.
Before his tenure in Saudi Arabia, Miguel was the founding Director of Cultural Diplomacy Projects at Qatar Museums, where he launched and led the Years of Culture bilateral exchange program, setting a global benchmark for cultural diplomacy.
A trained lawyer, he holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of London and an LLB from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
